In the summer of 2004, I sold my financial planning practice and left American Express Financial Advisors after 7 years and serving hundreds of clients.
I was determined to answer the call deep within my spirit to be a speaker and writer on spirituality and metaphysics, though I had no idea of how that would happen. I took the leap anyway…
After selling my financial planning practice, I sat down to write, and to prepare my first ever public event, to be conducted in April of 2005, followed by a retreat for women to be conducted in June 2005.
The results were astounding. There were about 70-75 people in the room for my first ever event in Prince George’s County, Maryland: What Is God Saying About Your Money?
At the conclusion of that event I offered the women in the audience the opportunity to join me at the retreat in June that I’d been planning titled the Divine Life’s Purpose Women’s Retreat. About 25 of the women took me up on the offer and attended the weekend retreat!
I was off to the races!
Shortly afterward I found an agent who procured a publishing deal for me to write 2 books with a 5 figure advance. I was elated! Since then, I’ve written and published over 25 books on practical spirituality, magick, money/abundance and Christian Witchcraft.
Even with all the successes I experienced over the years, I also experienced devastating losses. In the words of Mother Maya: “I wouldn’t take nothing for my journey now.”
I invite you to celebrate 20 years of speaking, teaching, leading retreats and doing my darndest to be an inspiration and fulfill the inner calling that gnawed at my soul until I said YES and meant it be walking out ALL that it would entail. The journey continues! Here’s to the next 20-40 years!
